Arlon town is located in extreme southestern Belgium, 15 miles (24 km.) west northwest of Luxembourg City. It is the oldest Roman settlement in Belgium (Orolaunum), and was the start-point for Richard the Lionhearted's efforts in the Third Crusade (1190).
